I'm pretty skeptical of China as a whole but the worst things you can say about them are just shit we do, and they also aren't bombing a bunch of countries. The only significant downside is the censored internet, but a lot of people would trade that for consistent food, housing, and medical care.

I wouldn't want to live in China but that's because I'm thankfully not super poor. I'm sure it would be better for poorer Americans.
