    Lol, western capitalism is an utter failure. They sacrificed hundreds of thousands of innocents to keep the economy open and that ended up biting them in the ass. Not only that, but they were warned that this is exactly what would happen.

      Modern smashgrab capitalism exemplified by the US can't fathom the idea of investment (the idea of losing profit short term in order to gain over long term). It's why they're in denial about renewable energy, it's why they refused to shut down the economy to contain the virus, it's why they're veering very close into 1789 territory.

                    I do love in the show he's surprised Hamilton would dare dunk him by saying Slaves allow the south to make money because they don't pay for labour. Nobody dared push back on him before that moment.
