      How do people not feel iffy writing 'blacks'? Always telling when a high-minded centrist talks like a racist and doesn't realize it.

        eh, depends on context. it does feel really weird to just say "blacks" in a paragraph exclusively about black people. but a good chunk of the time if im talking about multiple races, ill use the words "whites" and "blacks" in different parts of a paragraph or different paragraphs, because they're simple, useful terms. whites, blacks, asians ... i see it as basically the same way as americans, europeans, africans
