I almost went to a reddit meet up back in like '08 in my city before I knew dick about anything. I was just trying to make friends. I got there and saw a group that was obviously them and overheard the group talking about atheism, vidya games, and shouting what passed for memes in the late 00s.

I immediately left before introducing myself and will never meet anyone from the internet again. I'm really glad I did too because I saw pics of the meet ups around the country and woo boy do those not look pleasant.
