What I said was "buying wool creates the conditions that make sheep require shearing" when you buy wool, you are funding another sheep being bred for that purpose. This is not the same as saying we should go out and exterminate all domesticated sheep.

My grandpa raises sheep, I've been helping out since I was like 4. They need to be sheared bc they do not shed. On top of that wool gets pretty gross. Basically if left unsheared they get a bunch of infections and maggots and overheat.

Yeah so maybe we should stop breeding these animals who live a life of pain and suffering instead of buying socks to continue it.
They don't live a life of pain if you shear the wool off.
The world is more complex than that.

Can't eat plants, it requires the labor of bees to pollinate.
Bees do that without having to be bred, mutilated or imprisoned. You're not even depriving them of the fruit of their labor when you let them polinate
