Did he do something bad? The worst thing I know him for is those awful Taken movies.

      CW sexual violence/other violence

After someone close to him was raped by a black man he confessed that he like intentionally set out to go kill a random black person (that had nothing to do with the assault) just because

He like apologized and said he felt guilty about it but idk that doesn’t rub me right at all, like that’s really fucking racist. I get that someone he loved was hurt but normal, good people don’t take that anger out on a random person just because they’re the same race as the perpetrator.

I mean... the fact he wanted to do that in the first place is pretty fucked up. But it seems like he realized that was a fucked up and expressed remorse for it gives me a bit of sympathy for him. Sounds like he had drinking and anger issues at the time and grew up in a pretty fucked up community. Not that it really excuses anything but the fact he can reflect on it is more than a lot of people do.

Neeson has called #MeToo a "witch hunt" link archive link so there's a good chance he has some sexual violence skeletons in his closet

Neeson was specifically talking about the Minnesota radio guy Garrison Keillor getting fired over a fairly mild accusation (accidentally placing his hand on the smalls of the back of a woman who had a dress that was open in the back while trying to comfort her in private), but it's still shitty to characterize the movement as overzealous by pointing to the 1 guy that was probably unfairly treated considering that the vast majority of men involved had it coming. It's not like Keillor's life and reputation is in shambles (as media outlets were quick to defend him), all it ultimately did was nudge his retirement a few months earlier.
