It MIGHT not fit the definition of abuse as an isolated incident, but if he's like this all the time, its sustained consistent emotional abuse without question. Not the kind that's legally actionable though! The kind that's going to fuck her up and that she will have to work out in therapy a decade from now.
This is literally factually not true. Imagine thinking the law in a liberal democracy is perfectly able to identify and prosecute child abuse.
