Inspired by a news post on reddit that reminded me how dumb the average legislator is, especially at the state level.

Fixed terms are moronic. I don’t mind something like the Soviet system, but even western bourgeois democracy would be massively improved by having representatives who were recallable at any time by their constituents. Then again you see the same ghouls getting voted in over and over so it’s unlikely they’d be recalled lol.

    Skateocracy.

Prove me wrong. if you can skate belter than a sitting politician you can challenge them to a game of skate and if you win the seat is yours.

even drawing names from a hat for God Emperor every decade would resolve so many more conflicts & crises of legitimacy than representative democracy & electoralism even attempt to

No. There's certianly flaws in every representative system (especially America's constitution) but ultimately it's a sound idea for a government. And, hot take, electoralism has worked and is viable as a method for the left to gain power.

There's a reason why even Tankies will bring up the fact a government was elected when explaining it was overthrown by the CIA. It is a good method for showing popular support.

However, it's also vulnerable to existing power structures. The bourgeoisie can force a bourgeoisie ideology on the masses and get them to vote for the continuation of bourgoeois power. The structure of the state, especially one like America, can alao hinder action by leftists once they've aquited power.

So, it's pretty good, but don't take it for granted that represenative systems are always good.
