When the subreddit was still up I was in the unhealthy habit of doing deep reads on KHive accounts or interactions to post links to chapo for us to laugh over and they are wild haha. I think political twitter as a whole is incredibly weird, but out of all the groups KHive posters are only rivaled by the Q/conspiracy crowd. #BernieWasACop was my favorite arc from this year

Wait, they thought Bernie was a cop? Like undercover? To do what?
And seeing that they like one cop in Kamala, did they then think Bernie being a cop was actually a good thing?

        So many questions...

So they thought that those mean, evil leftists bullied Kamala out of the race and called her a cop to cover up their sexism and bigotry (I understand, "Kamala Harris was a cop" is totally just a dog whistle). So the big minds in the KHive sphere thought the best way to hit back was to try to do the same to Bernie, so they called him a cop for voting yes on the '94 crime bill, and tried to bring up negative consequences of that bill and lay it at Bernie's feet, like the increase in incarceration.

This happened around the lead up to Super Tuesday and I got to watch a bunch of "Bernie was a cop" posters pull a 180 and start cheering for Joe Biden as their preferred anti-Bernie candidate and dropping the cop thing because of, well, the guy who wrote the bill lol

Jesus christ, the mental gymnastics these guys engage in, holy shit.
If mental gymnastics were a discipline at the olympics, KHivers would probably get all 3 medals.

            Thanks for explaining.

I realize now that they didn't really use that as a hashtag, but a few big names changed their handle to that or put it in their bios. It's a shame, I wish I had older posts to dig up, and the one poster who I'm thinking of that lead the charge got banned from Twitter lol and I can't see their tweets

They probably think Bernie is a superposition of a white supremacist cop and a (((loud talking misogynist)))

        #BernieWasACop

Okay but he was a cop. He sent police in multiple times to stop anti-war protests when he was mayor and he wanted to protect Burlignton's Jet Factory over his constituents.

I'm not saying Bernie did nothing wrong, I'm critical of his actions too or his defense of the crime bill etc. I'm just laughing at the the dissonance that KHivers have

Getting real Hillary Clinton under sniper fire, Brian Williams under rocket fire, Senator Blumenthal serving in Vietnam vibes. "My first protest I attended as a baby in a stroller. I fell out of the stroller! And got lost in the crowd! And then my mom asked me why I was fussy! And that's when I started talking about a dream I had, and the crowd started listening..."

Biden turns to dust immediately upon taking office, Kamala is sworn in while giving her brand new "I have a dream" speech.
