    Things that shouldn’t take up all your time : internet drama

    Things that should: reading theory, joining a local org, bringing food to an elderly neighbour who is locked down, agitating your coworkers.

    This is a place to shoot the shit with other leftists, don’t spend the amount of time it would take you to read Kapital causing/engaging in drama here.

    I’m guilty of this too, my eBook broke a while ago so I’ve been more annoyingly online instead of reading history or theory. I’ve been arguing about Jimmy dore for gods sake

      Yep. I was work from home in theatre (lol, industries that didn't survive....🙃) when the sub was banned and the creation of chapo dot chat began. Obviously that turned into unemployment through the summer. So I was able to be terminally online enough to 'help' with the launch of the site.

      But yeah, that was when some work with DSA labor and a bit of helping at my city food bank was really only taking up a little time.

      Now I'm using the site as it should be: occasional shitposting, and checking out other leftist memes. Unfortunately, the left spaces remaining on reddit tend to be either incredibly sectarian, unwilling to be angry, or really dead. So here I stay, for now. But the inside baseball drama is getting to be a bit....much.
