I appreciate the sentiment of the post, but please remember that there are people here that are absolutely NOT participating in good faith. There will always be chuds and stupidpolers just waiting to cause crap in the community.

Bullying the bullies harder than they bully us is actually a really good strategy. Banning doesn't really work on a site where accounts are free. Doxing them and laughing at how pathetic their lives are is much smarter.

Banning suspected undercover chuds absolutely serves a purpose. It makes it harder for them to hide what they're doing. People absolutely will pretend to be one of us then once a drama kicks off they'll go in to splitter mode. If someone is doing wrecker behavior on a new account - its really obvious what they're doing. If they're doing wrecker shit on a months old account with a lot of activity then it becomes a lot more difficult to tell if they're sabotaging or just dumb.

I would once again call attention to us replicating the dynamics of reddit communities here, because we have simply replicated the digital geography of reddit.

It's all I want from chapo.chat. If you want something else you and your like minded friends need to build it, I may be cynical but I don't see this place functioning any different from a subreddit or reddit except with worse security apparently

we cant find a way to unite here then how tf irl?

Irl is way easier mate, the ridiculous bullshit you get in online spaces happens less there

Granted there are other ridiculous bullshit things that happen more irl, but in my experience they are easier to deal with face-to-face

Seriously. I'm so tired of the internet. Nothing of value happens on there.

I don't really see the point anymore tbh Overnight this site went from cool community to just another shitposting board in my mind

yeah i'm a little annoyed that anyone pointing out that the mods are banning people for no reason is labeled a wrecker.

if you contest someone's ban 'wrecker.' if you even upvote someone else contesting someone's ban you're shamed in a featured post on the front page, by someone who then is allowed to tear you apart and insult you, and if you respond as if offended in anyway, your post is removed, and you too are labeled a wrecker, ala CEO-Train.

and the amount of bootlicking in the replies in that post is just astounding.

This. Place doesn’t even feel like CTH anymore. There was never 10 million struggle sessions, or such bizarre moderation.

But the struggle sessions there were leftist in nature, these seem to be meta about the community as a whole and users and mods and shit. I’d much prefer the old sessions about dengism and anarchism and other things.

People made posts shitting on specific mods and users all the time. It just didn't make the front page. It makes the front page here because we have much less users and the algorithm for sorting posts is different and a lot faster than reddit.

I guess I was more of a sort by hot type chap. Though I did sort by new some, but I guess I was either not that perceptive or simply didn’t care enough to get involved in weird feuds.

I'm going to focus on the entirely wrong thing as a takeaway from this post, now:
the :left-unity-2: emoji looks like a red hand jerking off an invisible dick if you're using the deep colour palette

Remember, as soon as you are on the ground, there is far more unity than online.
