I know wearing masks can be annoying, but I actually think they have some cool upsides (beyond slowing the spread of a deadly disease).
For one, customers at work can no longer see my resting asshole face. You can even get away with bad mouthing people to your coworkers more blatantly because people can’t lipread :sicko-yes:.
Also, my eyes are pretty nice so that’s a bonus. And it’s nice to protect your identity a little when at protests (although they’ve simmered down in my area atm). Any of y’all found some unexpected mask wearing perks?
They alleviate gender dysphoria. I don't have to deal with smelling all the smog from my job. They bring focus to my pretty eyes. People gender me as female sometimes which is unexpected but kinda nice. It's a fun way to accessorize. I get to frown at everyone and nobody notices.
I'm going to keep wearing a mask at work after the pandemic. I love not having to deal with the smell of jet engine smog.
