A republican senator could switch over, could get some clout, I dunno, just wanting hope
why would they now though? perfect time to make dems look like the weak, ineffective ghouls they are if you're a republican ghoul looking to gain power in the next two elections.
Could be a situation like with McCain and the ACA repeal vote where there is a lot of clout to be gained by being "the good guy"
i suppose that's possible. i think i'm just so doomered by this government over the past year that i see no hope for it helping those who so desperately need it right now.
