If there's any reason to wax apocalyptic this plague, and the associated homelessness, poverty, and precarity lie at the root; the MAGA riot/"coup" yesterday and the BLM demonstrations last summer to some extent, and the online spectacle that might be less immediately relevant stem from the despair over our collective inability to solve these root problems.
