      One of the many groups at the event was funded by a group funded by these corporations, it absolutely is a directly attributable thing.

      Here's the website originally linked in the referenced tweet, seems to be ran by a few reporters the main one being an occasional contributor to the intercept.       Yeah these companies where just doing their usual buttering up of random republican/democratic groups by throwing money at them. They weren't paying attention to what exactly they were up to

        Not to white knight the companies or anything, but a lot of them donate to some political organization, and those organizaton(s) put money towards something like the rally.

          Yeah that too, from what I saw they gave money to a republican attorneys group who then gave it to the protest organizers
