I know the current policy is to just ignore anyone complaining about other people's bans but
I feel like this was a perfect example of a time that maybe there could have been a course correction post made saying "hey maybe this isn't such a good idea to make a bit out of this" and see how they reacted before slamming the ban button. Maybe something happened behind the scenes I'm not aware of though.
