I refuse to buy more than a few outfits for work. However, I will go all out on fashion when I’m off

I typically wear the same work shirt everyday for a year, and then buy a new one. I look sharp for about two weeks a year. I'm thinking this year I might splurge on 5 t-shirts.

Along with what @SerLava said, he also loses his pension and secret service detail. Small time and kind of petty at this point, but I'm a petty person when it comes to bourgeois swine

Do you have a source on the secret service bit? I haven't been able to find a definitive source.

This article says he keeps the SS protection but it doesn't cite its sources: https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2021/01/if-trump-is-impeached-and-convicted-hell-lose-his-post-presidency-perks/

This one says its unclear: https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/11/politics/fact-check-tweet-trump-impeachment-run-2024-secret-service/index.html

Just my dad who knows way too much about this shit but he's been wrong before so maybe I'm spreading lies. The detail part surprised me too

I'm inclined to agree, based on my reading of the original law and the later amendments.

However I'm not a lawyer, so I was hoping for a secondary source and couldn't find anything convincing. It looks like the news media is just talking out their ass.

I mean honestly? The biggest advantage is removing his access to intelligence, which former presidents can see, and also which the republicans would use to commit some kind of murders.

the bare minimum for leftists, yeah.

honestly don't know how these people function without completely burning out or going insane. it seems like an enormously stressful job. I get anxious when people call me names on Facebook comments, couldn't imagine dealing with this shit every day for fuckin decades

I am completely in favor of Trump being impeached purely because I want to watch a rich piece of trash eat shit.

That said, the liberals "YAS QWEEN"ing this are...obnoxious, to be polite.

I need a fact check. After she ripped up Trump's speech is it true that the next day she voted for his defense bill?

    • Darkmatter2k [none/use name]

The timing isn't that exact, the NDAA passed on December 11. 2019, and while Pelosi didn't vote on it herself, with her position and house majority leader, no bill makes it to the floor of the house without her approval. Pelosi's power also comes from the money she distributes to democratic house members, giving her control over their vote, it would be fair to say that Pelosi "allowed the bill to pass".

      https://justfacts.votesmart.org/bill/26706/70440/26732/national-defense-authorization-act-for-fiscal-year-2020#70440

What she did do that day was stand and applaud when Trump talked about Juan Guaido, showing her commitment to the US's imperialist foreign policy.

Doesn't look like it. For reference, speech ripping happened Feb 6, 2020. She did abstain from voting on an act prohibiting military action against Iran on Jan 30 tho. Didn't vote on a bill for emergency appropriations for Puerto Rico either (both passed, but still).
