I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I need to vent.
The number of people online who have been wringing their hands about the possibility of congresspeople facing violence is pathetic. These are blood-soaked Fascists operating one of the most violent apparati in human history, each with more blood on their hands than the entire rioting cohort put together. There was never any possibility of then seizing power and if you're worried about your precious congresspeople, you're straight up a Left-Liberal.
Literally had someone use the Nuremberg defense in favor of congresspeople on Twitter.
These aren't your friends! You will never elect enough AOCs to make a difference! Every single one will vote yes for the next military budget and every single one will vote yes on the next war. These people are monsters.
This is not to say that opposing the putsch or worrying about it as a sign is bad, but if you're worried about your besties in the United States fucking Congress, you don't understand the stakes we're playing for.

nazis just killed the whole government but its ok congress was bad anyway
I must yet again ask that if this was a Nazi coup that could succeed what are you and the left going to do about? Why were and are people posting about it instead of calling up their militia that definitely exists and marching off to resist it?
If you aren't prepared to go out and stop "imminent fascist takeover" then stop hand-wringing about how the rest of us should totally be more solemn about the fucking US Congress getting merked.
nazis killed the whole government but its ok I dont have a militia
If Nazis took over the government what are you going to do about it?
you're reciting lines from a vlog with no relation to what is being said
No I'm saying this:
If a fascist coup legitimately took over DC and liquidated Congress I would cheer and celebrate the destruction of that festering cesspool of corruption and evil. Then we have two scenarios:
The infrastructure necessary for resisting open dictatorship and engaging in revolutionary struggle exists: I go to my local soviet and with fellow party members rouse the masses to occupy the workplaces, key strategic locations in the area, and raise barricades. The bourgeois facade of democracy has been dissolved and revolution is now the only option.
The infrastructure for resisting open dictatorship and engaging in revolutionary struggle does not exist: I either make preparations to flee the country immediately or go back to keeping my head down at a much lower profile then before. Or, I start preparing to get Jakarta'd
Until then, whinging about how "celebrating violence against the psychotic bourgeois Congress is always bad, akshually" is a fucking waste of time. I don't give a flying fuck about greedy liberal psychopaths. I don't care who is doing violence to them. I care about what is real and material and what I can actually do about a situation. Regardless, nothing of substance happened, so this argument doesn't fucking matter.
I don't mind getting garotted in a ditch, I'm actually just worried about Kurt Schrader. That is me!

I dont even care that this isn't even a viable option where I live at the moment lol , just reading this made me feel so pumped up :chavez-salute: :fidel-salute: :maduro-salute: :lenin-shining:
This was never a possibility, read a book.
But also it's good when Fascists die. Guess we're just made differently.
whoa really? I thought it was tomorrow?
Love to do the lib thing where you reduce Fascism to "bad"
Those protestors simply had a disagreement of opinion smh
