My body hurts. I burned the calorie equivalent of a pizza. Life is good.

Upbeared for bikes. Bikes are so fun. There is surprisingly little bike-posting on this sub.

Bikes are good for your body, good for the environment, good for the soul. Comrades if you are able-bodied and don't own a bike seriously what are you doing?

During COVID going for a bike ride with a friend is like the last safe way to hang out.

You get hotter by riding your bike around, you arrive at the party with a lovely glow that says "I didn't use fossil fuels to get here I used my cool-ass body".

But mostly biking is just super damn fun.

Love bikes. I think dentists on 10k road bikes give the sport a bad rap.

I know it’s linking to r*ddit, but /r/xbiking has sick inspo for cobbling together functional, fast, and fun rides.

That said, just checked xbiking and the community is filling up with stock bikes over $1000, which is annoying.

I've been urban cycling for 25 years and have never had a bike worth more than $750. Honestly I wouldn't even want one - I'd start to worry about it getting stolen and not take it literally everywhere I go.

Bikes rule. We need more bike posting.

I've been working on trying to ride more using Zwift, but I also struggle with motivation to do exercise that feels like exercise.

I'm definitely going to put more effort into riding most days when this winter is over.

Everything feels better when I've ridden, mentally and physically.

The best part about biking is that it doesn't have to feel like excercise at all. Throw in a sandwich and a thermos with tea/coffee, put on a podcast or audiobook and ride away

        Seriously.

That's the biggest thing for me. I try to go to the gym and feel like I'm pointlessly moving around for an hour or so.

I hop on my bike and next thing I know it's two hours later

Bikes are exactly why I tell people who are trying to get into exercise that when it comes to fitness, you just have to try different stuff until you find something that doesn’t feel like work. For me that’s bikes. I love them. I especially love that it’s not something you have to put a bunch of equipment into a car and then drive to a place to go do - you can just step out the front door, swing a leg over your bike and go wherever you want.

I love cycling but it's been impossible to get new parts for my old ass bike during the pandemic, I've been waiting months on some replacements :sadness:

Any chance we get a c/bikes or something? I understand if not, it's definitely a relatively specific topic.

I don't think the thing we need is more communities. Bikepost on main like a Chad.

That's why if you want to loose weight it's much easier to just not eat the pizza

Bikes are so wonderful. Riding bikes with other people is a really rewarding experience, even if your just cruising around your neighborhood for 15 minutes. I'm really happy e-assist cargo bikes are starting to catch on with lots of urban-loving people. Cargo bikes are so useful for all kinds of mutual aid work.
