Wha....
Loophole: Call it a tragedy done by "the national SOCIALISTS" and when some comes in to deny the Holocaust because anything westoids do is infallible, tell them "why are you defending the commies?"
I used the revisionism to destroy the revisionism.
I used the revisionism to destroy the revisionism.
just like heckin thandos in the adventures
Just say the holocaust was "divisive" that way you can dress up your antisemitism in a veneer of respectability.
In my head I can a "moderate and reasonable" republican saying "Look, I'm not saying the Holocaust didn't happen. I am not Holocaust denier! But have you considered how truly divisive this topic is?"
---
Edit - In fact - we can count the weeks until a sentence like that is spoken on Real Time with only polite and token pushback.
Real Time, you say?
More like Real Time with Bill Maher where Bill tries to defend his Republican guest of the week.
There's booing after the creepy, reptilian republican says the Holocaust can be "divisive". Bill gets instantly annoyed.
"Stop it now." The volume goes down by a lot but not to zero. "Stop it right now." The audience is quiet. "You might not want to hear this - but my guest is one of the good ones."
Somebody yells out "No."
Bill does his standup mug and says "Who let him in here." He gets serious again "This isn't a maga situation and you're not going to agree with everyone. That's life. That's how it works. It's called being an adult." Maher meant that as an applause line but it didn't get the result that he wanted so he focuses on his horrible guest "Senator Vile - I apologize for the sophomoric outburst - please continue," he says with solemnity.
Like. Clockwork.
Jesus, you don't know how many times I heard that situation or sequence of events go while my parents were watching Bill Maher on television.
There's going to be a socialist whose taste of the truth is looking at the yellow star of David and going "holy shit!" Like mine was all the military interventions in central and South America
I was radicalized back in, I think, 2009 and the ensuing lead-up to the war against Libya solidified it.
Title should be: Teachers struggle to teach the Holocaust without running afoul of new ‘divisive concepts’ rules
The fuck is "divisive" about the Holocaust? That some fucks think it didn't happen, and others think it didn't go far enough? Or are the yanks afraid they'd have to look in the mirror when studying industrialised mass murder of "undesirables"?
