Any chapos into it?
Would be keen to get some tabletop simulator sessions going
Co op stuff like Mansions of madness Forgotten waters Arkham horror lcg
Or even competitive Could be convinced to play cosmic encounter, bang or Twilight struggle (lol)
I have limited knowledge of tabletop Sim but would be happy to organise n stuff
Or just to talk about the hobby
Love love love
I guess the luxury of tabletop simulator is you don't have to smell anyone
If you smell long enough into the abyss, the abyss begins to smell you back
also the number of fascists (of varying degrees of crypto) in the community is a pain. You have idiots like Arch [redacted for legal reasons] who has openly said that he wants an ethnostate in Sweden and has done at least two collabs with The Golden One (who unsurprisingly is also a 40k fan), yet people were still surprised when a 20MB folder of screenshots of his discord with him talking about how Sami people were genetically inferior and stuff (and some of his stans are still claiming he's not fascist)
What about the worst game: Secret Hitler. Not only is it a terrible game, but your only choices are to be a liberal or a fascist.
Honestly werewolf or the resistance is so much better. SHitler is made by the libs that made cards against humanity so unsurprising there.
One night ultimate werewolf is probably my favorite party game. It does everything other big social deduction games do with so much less filler and no player elimination.
Yes there was a lot of hype during the kickstarter. I really would like to play it but there's no way I was gonna drop $100 on a game that even its biggest fans couldn't say how it was really different.
Cosmic Encounters is my jam! Haven't been able to play it since I moved out of my backwater town. I would certainly be interested! Although I don't know the first thing about TTS.
I play a lot of board games. In my experience tabletop simulators are a little awkward, my friends and I have been playing a lot on Board Game Arena which basically makes simple video game versions of liscenced games.
I agree tabletop simulators are awkward but I reckon some games will translate ok
God I miss game nights so much. I've tried tabletop simulator but it's just so fucking wonky I feel like I need to take a class on it
On TTS I couldn't even figure out how to make codenames work. But in general I really like Wingspan, Photosynthesis, and Azul. I want to get into something heavier, like Food Chain Magnate or 18xx, but even before covid I didn't have anyone else to play those with.
I've only played a few boardgames but I've enjoyed them all and I have tabletop simulator. I've only used it to play go-stop with friends, which is a japanese card game played with hanafuda cards 🎴 but I'm down for anything
I love game night.
I used to play a game of Blackstone Fortress with some friends and it was a blast to be INPERSON, having a fun time and only one of us had to play the Games Workshop tax ™ and it wasnt me.
We’ve transitioned to a discord DnD 5e game and that was fun too.
I played Settlers of Catan with another group and that was so much fun too.
I dont like to be competitive unless it’s in person, so video games did not satisfy that itch at all. I didnt have an xbox so i didnt play halo ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I'd be down for TTS or BGA on weekends or evenings (American).
