    the way i talk to my parents is i try to find one based thing they did (my mom was a leader in a union in communist czechoslovakia) and really play it up and say how proud i am of that and then i sneak in tidbits of ideology to get them to agree with me

    the biggest failure of communism in czechia is how they produced my lib of a mother jesus christ

      I'll never get to use that card, I am 100% certain my parents have never done anything even remotely approaching the vicinity of based. Everyone here either has sort of cool parents or the exact opposite

      It's clear that many of the Eastern Block countries completely failed in teaching their populace theory. My dad was a member of the communist party and though not high level he was at least politically aware. These days he's terminally online, reactionary as shit (hurr dürr genders, Soros etc) and a Putin fan boy. Materialist analysis is just not a thing for him.
