People who try to posture about 100%ing every dark souls game are cringe

Source: Have 100%ed every dark souls game

Yeah, the games aren't even that hard and 100%ing is more about having the attention span to grind for every covenant rank.

Making fun of nerds on Reddit is arguably one of my favorite things to do in this life.

I really hate gamer culture. It is impossible to discuss criticism you have with the difficulty in any game without everyone accusing you of wanting baby mode easy games and telling you to get good. Like I love every Soulsborne game but they occasionally have bosses with some cheap-ass moves and if I try to express that I'm immediately crucified.

Discussing any criticism can be impossible in some communities. Mention that you think the Switch has poor online capabilities in a Nintendo community and watch people get really angry and tell you that you shouldn't complain and if you don't like it go someplace else.

    Love souls but like

You just die over and over til you get it right

You don’t have to be especially good at games to play it, just patient

Edit: Friede and Ludwig though :angry-hex:

Sister Friede was the hardest fight across 1, 2, 3 and Bloodborne for me by a wide margin, what a nightmare

Have you played Sekiro? It's the only soulslike game I enjoyed enough to finish, and a big part of why is that the boss design relied on more than just memorizing the correct frame to hit the dodge key.

I’m currently starting it out. I like that it’s different enough from souls to be its own thing, and the combat is very fluid. I can’t describe it yet but it also feels restricted? Maybe because I haven’t discovered more tools, idk

Experimenting with the tools is key to having a good time - also, after beating a certain boss (you'll know it when you come to it lol) the paths branch out and it becomes a lot less linear.

You’re falling for the ages-old souls trap of getting too greedy! Haha. Never personally played Demon Souls but I can relate with the Orphan, since he gets staggered with enough pushback.

Don’t have the guts to play on NG+, like ever

Videog*me fanboys really are the worst. These are the people who will try to trigger epileptic seizures in people who have a mild criticism of their favourite g*me, or dox and send death threats when their fav g*me got a 7/10 instead of a 10/10.

Every single g*me specific subr*ddit is absolute trash as well. Every regular poster has some fatal combination of extreme hostility to criticism, corporate boot licking and a constant need to perform mental gymnastics about their favourite g*me company.

Oh my god the "I don't have that problem" type reply is the absolute worst and you see it all the time in tech support communities as well. I had a similar experience recently trying to troubleshoot an issue with an xbox controller refusing to connect to my PC. Even worse because I had to go through all the common mistakes people make with xbox controllers and the replies were still just straight up "oh, you must not have the bluetooth controller then because I don't have that issue."
