I’m putting Rudd over Gillard purely because he actually tried to do a mining super profit tax, a policy she was happy to drop if it meant she could have the top spot. And I dunno, Hawke is the daddy of neoliberalism in Australia :/
Rudd over Gillard because the backstab was such a dumb political move, Gillard was a pretty competent politician with semi-decentish lib policies who could have done a lot more if she didn't have the stain of the backstab hanging over her the whole time, it just made it so easy for Murdoch and Abbott. And the backstab led us (probably more than anything else) directly to the current utter shitshow as well. Credit where it's due for the speech calling out Abbott as a misogynist shithead though, that was good shit
