    like yeah, it sucks you were led by the nose to waste money on excess clothing just for fashion, but it's good to see a politician not act like everything is a catwalk.

      I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that "poor grad student" had family money and wasn't actually poor. Just a shot in the dark.

        as an actually poor grad student, almost EVERY grad student has some sort of family money. it's honestly insane.

        I have 1 nice warm parka I've had for probably close to 10 years now, and then some other spring/fall jackets ive gotten at thrift/consignment shops.
