Wow deranged homophobia and trans phobia. I really dont understand these people they think about LGBTQ people more than LGBTQ people do. It is also clear that despite their fixation on us they have never actually bothered to learn about LGBT people from LGBT people. They only ever get their evidence from other neurotic obsessed psychos like themselves. Also these morons claiming to be marxists, literally marxists were explaining how the hetero-normative standard of bourgeois society was bullshit like over 100 years ago.

Well, the history of the communist movement is one of rapid social progress, much more than in the Western world, including on the LGBTQ issues, so their own point isn't even justified.

i have no idea what the argument here was or if they were wrong or right but he didnt just pull that out of his ass nor is it a homophobic term (i’ve only ever heard it from gay people before)

interesting, thank you. I still think his usage of it is homophobic, because criticism of Stalin is not automatically homonationalism and the rest of the comment definitely is absolute bullshit

i mean the [ml/tankie/whatever term you like] position i see expressed often is that criticism of Actually Existed Socialism is always western chauvinism, so if it's a criticism along queer-liberatory lines, then by that definition it's homonationalism

Oh right I get it, thanks. Sure, criticizing the SU for not being instantly perfect isn't constructive, but it wouldn't have cost them anything being a little less homophobic

the history of the communist movement should tell you what is progressive and what is not.

    read as

everything that previous revolutions which were ultimately defeated did was right
