Wasn't it frog DNA? After they find the nest of hatched eggs, Grant points out that several species of frog will spontaneously switch sexes in a monosex environment in order to facilitate mating.
Yeah, some scientist the animated cartoon DNA character says they used reptile DNA or something frog DNA. They don't mention feathers, though, because that wasn't current science at the time.
Yeah I was thinking of Henry Wu in Jurassic World, I thought he specifically said feathers but he just says “If their genetic code was pure many of them would look quite different, but you didn’t ask for reality, you asked for more teeth!”
I just realized that the lack of feathers on the Jurassic Park dinosaurs can be explained by the
lizardfrog DNA they used to fill in the gaps.Wasn't it frog DNA? After they find the nest of hatched eggs, Grant points out that several species of frog will spontaneously switch sexes in a monosex environment in order to facilitate mating.
I just checked the movie and you're right.
They say that explicitly in Jurassic World

I've never seen any of the sequels so you may be right.
The first Jurassic World is… fine. The ones after that are awful.
Oh, okay. TIL. I'm wrong again.
Nah I was wrong, I remembered the scene saying feathers specifically but he just says “they’d look different”
