A comrade on r/Sigmarxism gave points to a few Warhammer factions based on Umberto Eco's Ur-Fascism with 8 of the 14 categories met the skaven are deemed Kinda Fash
Nowhere near 1:1, although their elite infantry are called stormvermin. Probably more a take on industrialised society in general
They're a survival-of-the-fittest society of ratmen with no redeeming features. Hierarchical and authoritarian, they've got enough numbers to easily conquer the world and they have all sorts of hacked together high-tech stuff like nukes and gatling guns and sewn-together monstrosities etc, except they're all so busy constantly trying to stab each other in the back that they can never get anything done. And they're all so completely cowardly that no chud is going to unironically stan them for "martial honour" or anything like that
Kinda. They're insanely genocidal and backstabby, and invoke the "mad scientist" and "impractical superweapons" tropes. They also invoke a lot of WWI imagery with their focus on chemical warfare and plague.
One of the main reasons I love skaven so much
