PBG, Shenpai, Markiplier, and a few others all came out in support of BLM.

Plenty of good gamers out there, even if Chuds like J*ntron are the norm.

I follow a few gamers who I watch their videos of on twitter and they pretty much all are atleast super-libby pro-blm demsoc types.
Jesse Cox has been liking some stuff that is borderline marxist lately in response to the stock market thing.

Matt Watson from Supermega has been to at least one Chapo live show. I've been listening to their podcast since I was in high school, and I am really glad they didn't become chuds. They made a lot of reactionary jokes in their old stuff.

PBG is definitely a lib, but he seems to have his heart mostly in the right place a lot of the time, even if he can be kind of a messy bitch about drama at times (his involvement in the Projared thing).

Speaking of Projared, he also came out in support of BLM lol. That's a .... complex one to me. Now cards on the table I was a huge fan of his before the controversy, so I might be biasing slightly in his favor here. But after seeing his explanation video (now deleted) my takeaways were.

      1. He almost certainly didn't take advantage of minors, thank god, thus probably clearing him of the worst accusation.
      2. He did however still abuse his platform, as having a tumblr for accepting and sending nudes from and to fans was always a sketchy thing for him to be doing as a person with a platform. He only barely cops to this in the video. He briefly mentions a "power imbalance" but he really should have dwelled on that to make it clear he understood that, and actually use the word "sorry".
      3. I'm not sure who, if either of them, was the abusive party between him and Heidi. I'm not sure I'm in a position to judge that.
      4. The video had some sketchy elements in and of itself, using some kind of ableist implications to discredit his accuser and also doing the naming and shaming thing that I don't think people with platforms should do because it always leads to harassment.
      5. I never cared if he cheated or not, because I think infidelity is a private matter that I don't judge people for, and I always thought people focusing on that element were heavily misguided.

The tumblr/instagram that documented all the evidence suggests he definitely did take advantage of minors. And I think you're too kind to him about Heidi being the abusive one - multiple people who knew them both very well immediately sided with Heidi based on Jared's behaviour towards her and none of them believe Jared's "we were both bad, but she was worse!" Defence.

Idk I don't think he was ever malicious in a pre mediated sense. Just a fucking idiot who didn't know how to deal with another person in his life who had opinions and ideas of her own and a life outside of him. I think that led him to lead a shitty destructive life that brought them both down in misery.

Ah, I assume then he just managed to discredit one accuser but there were more or something?

I still like his content sigh But yeah, if thats true then fuck him.

Despite their individual weirdnesses, Super Best Friends are at least pretty okay. I've also discovered WayneRadioTV on twitch and he is extremely based, he routinely says fuck cops and trans rights to an audience of at least 1000 people consistently
