Americans should not be allowed to accuse other countries of disruption unless they can first name at least 10 countries we've fucked with. That is not asking much

Or alternatively name 10 countries we haven't fucked with. That list is probably shorter

Unlikely, as the USA has even interfered with the politics of places such as Canada and Australia. So if even those milquetoast countries are getting fucked with, what chance does an Asian/African/South American nation have at remaining free of American fuckery?

A few they might not have specifically bothered to, not sure though:

Some of the European microstates (San Marino, Andorra, Monaco etc.)

            Lesotho

            Timor-Leste

            North Sentinel Island

The Islamic Republic of Eastern Samothrace

The Principality of Hutt River (RIP)

            Sealand

I mean it may not be the govt, but the same sorts of dumb christian hubris that underlies the american govt have also tried to mess with the sentinelese, so even this joke list doesn't hold up well. Also, I would imagine American backing of certain apartheid movements fucked Lesotho in some ways. And I think the yankees were against Timor-leste, no?

I explicitly remember libs mocking conservatives about the red scare prior to Trump. They would say that conservatives call dems communists because the red scare broke their brain. Glad to see they learned from all that gloating . . . .

Trump really broke late night show hosts' brains. They all constantly look like they're on the verge of weeping now

I bet that as the modern clergy of capitalist hegemony, they really do feel the slow agonizing death of the old world more acutely than us, who largely have no stakes in that world and are more attuned to the slow, agonizing birth of the new.

Materially, for sure, absolutely. They swim in luxury until they become the lizards from Fear and Loathing. At the same time, I don't think their weird weepy bullshit is entirely just a cynical affectation. I think the current era really is breaking their brains, especially because their whole job precludes any kind of marxist analysis, or at least their contracts depend on them keeping it to themselves. That's gotta be a mental pressure cooker of some kind when your job is to talk about RUSSIAN:cyber-lenin:HACKERS in perpetuity. They've got terror-blue balls.

Remember when he hosted a show that featured bikini babes jumping on trampolines? My respect for this man has plummeted ever since

I don't remember much about the man show, I'm sure it was problematic and stuff but i think it's very funny that Kimmel went from that to becoming this annoying, crying tv pussy that that show would make fun of so much.

        His cohost was Adam Corolla.

They left and were replaced with Joe Rogan and Doug Stanhope for a season or two.

        What a group.

Lol does anyone watch late night comedy anymore in reality? Like at this point 85% of the viewership has to be TiVo boxes people never bothered disconnecting

Conan is on record that it's stupid that all comedians are obligated to make political jokes about the twenty four news cycle and that he prefers formats that let him produce content that is more evergreen.

Tbh Conan's politics as a working-class Harvard come-up are pretty spotty at best and probably worse than Kimmel's at this point, but at least I can mostly just tune them out and focus on what he does best: anachronistic vaudeville schtick, broad caricatures of the millennium lifestyle, and hammy Armenian jokes directed at his personal assistant/sidekick.

and that's why I would say Conan's as decent a centrist with his status as you could expect.

unfortunately, I listen to his podcast https://omny.fm/shows/conan-o-brien-needs-a-friend/ron-reagan

Conan is good, much more tolerable than the other late night hosts. His comedy doesn't seem forced and the Conan remotes are a great watch.

The last good loght night talk show era was Craig Ferguson. Conan's decent but hes a shadow of his former self and the big chair for Colbert has made him pretty unfunny.
