    I thought that was weird and creepy as fuck too. Like a female grooming pedo cult or something what the fuck.

        What do you think of "lady"? "Woman" sometimes feels like it has an older connotation than someone in their 20s would like, but obviously "girl" is not appropriate.

        If I'm talking about a 25-year-old male friend, saying "this man I know" sounds like I'm referring to someone's dad, and calling a 25-year-old female friend "this woman I know" feels similarly awkward.
