See the classical liberal thing makes sense to me because everyone who describes themselves as one is so racist they'd only be considered a liberal in the 17th century

Elliot Rogers? Maybe that other incel guy who shot up a school of primarily black children?

It's going to turn out to be Biden or Harris or Ghandi or something, isn't it

conversely, you have a lot of people who see the word “liberal” and think “oh they just want to liberate everyone and give them liberty. that sounds right and good.”

I think it's the other way around. Liberal is the good thing, hence it means whatever I think is correct.

I like the bit where they just start describing liberalism as feelings and abstract ideals. As if those abstract concepts exist totally separately and removed from the mode of production we exist under.

Goes to show how fucking powerful the psychological warfare is that these people can't even see what's directly in front of them without first watching it through their idealist lense.

It's because that's how stupid liberals actually are . That they don't even know what liberalism actually is and don't have the brain power to learn. To them it's still "conservative bad, liberal good." So whatever they think is good is liberalism. Because they are fucking stupid.

This is a good point. I almost understand it. Neoliberal elites are pretty good at coopting leftist language and movements, and at least acting like they're on the same side. From my experience, regular run of the mill libs don't really know how to react when confronted by someone who is far to the left of them.

Like you said, in their mind they think there are two teams and they believe they are aligned against the oppressor, as opposed to being one of two sides of a seriously fucked up coin.

...fuck it really is the political equivalent of people saying obviously wrong shit about odd numbers and multiples of 3. I thought "they'll having you believing one and one makes three" was an exaggeration.
