the original series, the camp factor is huge

For whatever reason I can enjoy cheesy 60s and 70s Doctor Who but I can't enjoy the cheesy 60s ST:TOS. Not sure what's different.

Discovery didn’t do it for me. It’s an action drama. Not into it.

Star Trek Picard is a travesty.

Thank you, I like Disco but I accept that it's not for everyone, and I just want people to accept that it's not awful like Picard, just not for everyone.

Anyway DS9 is still the best Trek by far.

Discovery has a great cast and I wish it wasn't so focused on Burnham and would slow down and breath a bit so we could get to know them in a non emergency. Picard is what garbage brings to the curb.

Totally agree, Disco should be way more ensemble. Season 2 went that way for the first half of the season, then kind of abandoned it to focus on Pike and Mike. Season 3 Nhan was written off the show, and now the bridge crew has people I don't even know the name of and that sucks. The credits say her name is Nilsson, but who?

It creates a huge problem with investment where the threats are massive and galaxy threatening but there isn't a single person in that galaxy that I'd be bothered to see go. We know it's not the real galaxy and even if it was that's like 200 years from now anyway. If the setting isn't relatable than you gotta give us characters we care about.
