I know not to expect much from this admin, but part of me still think they'll end up doing like 10K in forgiveness, as pathetic as that is. Haven't heard about it in a while though....

    But I haven't started a small business in a disadvantaged community :deeper-sadness:

Hope you get some relief. Unfortunately for me they're only talking about federal loans, not private loans which 18 year old me was stupid enough to sign up for.

Mine are federal; My wife's are all private so I kind of know the feeling. Its been such a big cause of anxiety over the years.

Senate bill is still being negotiated, I imagine we'll see the text of the bill in the next week; if we don't, it'll definitely be this month.

At best the bill might contain $10k in forgiveness of student debt (undergraduate only, not applicable to private loans) but I seriously doubt it. The House bill did not contain any student loan forgiveness, nor did Biden's plan. The Senate amendment process didn't contain anything on student debt relief either. At this point it would be very surprising to see student debt relief get into this bill.

liberals are subhuman, they do not value the good, they do not have morality, and they do not have minds

remember this and you can usually predict what they will do in power (kill foreigners and bilk people, not cancel loans)
