my tongue is sitting more heavily in my mouth

🤯 what does this idiom mean???? I instantly love it, it's so evocative, but I'm struggling to understand, what a fun puzzle!!

It's a bit of an improvised idiom after watching the video FourteenEyes shared.

The video goes into classification of animals into different phyla(?) and the presenter discusses tongue worms, and parasites which replace the tongue of the host animal. This physically made me aware of the unsettling heaviness of my tongue in my mouth.

Secondly I meant it like "I will give pause before speaking next time" because I said something flippantly and then was almost immediately corrected. Could also be taken like "My thoughts are weighing down my tongue".

Hope this makes sense! It's kind of ad lib.
