I told the two managers that did my interview that I'm ready to lay my ass on the line for this here minimum wage job. Told them give me 40-50 hours a week boss, just give me employment. Every now and then like today, I get a call on the weekend from my manager that I just ignore. He's trying to get me to work OT but fuck all that shit. I could do with the money but I could also do with my sanity. I'm lucky as fuck I got section 8 or else I'd be fucked
The worst part is that the work itself in inconsistent. Some days I'm hauling ass to do what seems like 2 days of work in 1 day, and other days it's 1 to 1. They don't give you fair warning - they just tell you to expect anything. You show up in the morning and get fucked.
