    Wait am I reading this chart right?

    That the degrees shown are the degrees departure from normal?

    So -24 in the center is -24 degrees COLDER than normal and fuckin Florida is 73 degrees HOTTER than normal?

    That can't be fuckin right can it?

    Or is it the colour scale where the central states are almost 30 degrees south of where it should be but florida is also only 30 degrees hotter?

      I think the numbers are the actual temp (F) and do not correspond directly to the colors, which represent the deviation from normal.

      The second one. Numbers on the map are "forecast minimum temperature" in degrees F, color scale is "departure from normal."
