Not in a country that eats mostly frozen food anyway.

Wonder how many frozen pizzas get sold in Italy?

Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Marx on the price is right but they don’t understand the concept and keep valuing things as “commodities” and talking about surplus labor.

At this moment, probably not much. Its winter so grain/vegetable crops probably aren't being planted yet. Anybody raising livestock is sucking right now, but larger operations should have some padding.

If this decides to last more than a month, shits going to get super weird.

How this affects the final frost dates of growing zones in the affected regions and early spring rains is something to pay attention to.

This is what anything I pull out of the microwave looks like the first time. Hot on the outside, frozen in the middle.

Oh yeah we're getting hurricane-level power outages from like Houston all the way to Hammond based on Entergy's outage maps right now.

Wait am I reading this chart right?

That the degrees shown are the degrees departure from normal?

So -24 in the center is -24 degrees COLDER than normal and fuckin Florida is 73 degrees HOTTER than normal?

That can't be fuckin right can it?

Or is it the colour scale where the central states are almost 30 degrees south of where it should be but florida is also only 30 degrees hotter?

I think the numbers are the actual temp (F) and do not correspond directly to the colors, which represent the deviation from normal.

The second one. Numbers on the map are "forecast minimum temperature" in degrees F, color scale is "departure from normal."

not the same album, but real talk The Ascension has had my back for all of my lowest climate collapse doom moments this year, really puts me at peace with the idea of scavenging in the apocalyptic wasteland with a traveling companion with whom I have a deep and homoerotic partnership.

yeah, it definitely feels like it came at the right time. although, i haven't listened since i cemented in that album in with a big drug trip a few months ago, and going back would be a serious emotional investment

edit: especially that first song, that one really feels like it encapsulates our apocalypse
