Today I found out what a burpee is. Yeah nah. I'll start with the modified version first thanks.

I woke up this morning to the news Afghanistan beat England in the cricket. It's their second win ever in a World Cup the first being in 2015.
That also officially makes the Aussies the bottom of the ladder team at the moment.
I'll probably only be able to stay up for one innings max unless a side gets bowled out early tonight.
If we lose tonight I think it's game over.
Big scalp too given England having won the last WC, right? Good on them!
England did win the last one against NZ. Afghanistan's win is HUGE for them.
Someone on instagram posted 'ten weeks till Christmas' and now I am filled with anxiety over how fast things are going D:
I'm not a Christmas person, but bring it on. 2023 can eat a dick and I am very ready to move on.
That gives me 10 weeks to perfect potatoes in the air fryer, as I offered to do this for Christmas. I believe this will be achievable, but will have to do many test runs to make sure they are perfect. It is a sacrafice I am willing to make.
Which reminds me I really need to decide whether I'm going to try and book some kind of holiday over the xmas/ny period and get on that.
I had a dream last night that I owned a golden Labrador called "King" and he was such a good, gentle and kind boy.
I've never owned a dog. Our house and yard are not suitable for a dog... But I kinda wish King was real.
I thought I was so smart putting my drink in a travel mug so it wouldn’t get spilled.

Melbcat spewed on it, hit it bullseye along with the carpet. The concave cup lid acted as a little basin 🤢
It’s rinsed off and in the sink while I decide how best to deep clean it or whether I can face using it again after that.
The carpet has been blotted well and soaked in biological cleaner so hopefully that should be okay. I’ll scrub and reapply if I need to.
Edit: the spinnos look a bit less happy today. They’re still valiantly pushing up leaves but one looks very slightly chewed, others have tiny pale bumps and pin fine light trails on them, and a few look wilted with dark stems near the soil. I wonder if they’re damping off

Miss Meow spent some time sleeping on my shoulder while purring loudly in my ear. Which always sounds nice, but 3kg of cat in the wrong spot gets really heavy, and the purr directly into the ear is a bit like having someone starting a chainsaw outside, and is not condusive to sleep.
I was hanging slightly off the edge. I managed to stay on by curling in a croissant around her, putting my shoulders and legs more on the mattress and providing counterweights.
Oh dear. Melbcat is quieter but is around 5kg now and likes to lie on my throat. She used to be 6kg, possibly down from 7.
5kg directly on the throat would be a bit much. Miss Meow was 2.3kg when I got her, she is now somewhere over the 3kg mark, which for her is getting a bit overweight.
Oh yeah it’s something. My girl is actually looking really slim though at 5kg due to the size of her frame, she’s really tall and long. Probably should weigh more.
She has to do three point turn in tight spaces and her bum hangs over the edge of a standard litterbox.
There is definitely an advantage to having a compact model of cat, all the standard sizes of things are plenty big enough for Miss Meow. Plus she can't jump onto the kitchen benches.
I considered building a custom cat tree for Melbcat.
Unfortunately the ikea stuff I’d want for the bones is expensive and I’m leery of potentially infested hard rubbish
They're making their moves, misha has two of mine and half the bed. The invasion has begun!
Mr Woof must have sensed I was thinking of moving the dog bed on the floor that he doesn't use as he is curled up in it tonight. I guess it stays where it is after all.
He does know how to do cute.

I reckon my cat does know how to put the kettle on, he just pretends not to.
About to go on holidays, and the longest time away from work for quite some time and man, I gotta tell you, I'm feeling down af. I don't know why. Hoping that when I finally get away that it'll change my mood.
Be careful of what you wish for, your low mood might be because you know deep down inside that you'll enjoy your time away so much that when you come back you'll feel even worse...
Jk - I do hope you get the best of it all, refreshed and energised in a way that sustains you after you come back.
God, isn't that the truth though - we've had this trip booked since, I think May? But also in a way this trip is a bit of a signpost since I know when I get back (even though it's the end of the year) there's a few hard truths I need to think about and act upon. There's the smallest dust mote inside trying to tell me that there's a massive possibility that the path before me, whichever I choose, will be really good. I gotta find that little dude a megaphone so he can shout it a little louder for the people in the back.
The bigger the change the bigger the feelings? But yes, I highly encourage feeding lil positive dude and letting him shine - it's something I'm still working on after mine disappeared while I was away in Brisbane. Good on you for noticing him!

I thought it was raining here too, but turns out the kids upstairs were just eating corn.
I actually slept spectacularly and woke up so comfy and not actually hurting (a rarity for me). Maaaaarvellous
We've had sunshine, rain and wind today. I'm waiting for the snow or hail. Not likely but you never know.
Got my "Peony Bouquet" wax melts delivered today and with no shock to anyone, they're super florally. I'm not completely sure these really fit my whole vibe but I'm still going to melt them flowery motherfuckers nonetheless.
Usually more of a masculine scent around me. Woods and spices sort of thing.
flowers are lovely, peony is my fave candle scent at the moment, peony or green tea
