The libs really are going to try and outflank Le Pen from the right. Are there any parties on the left of them that are likely to be able to challenge during upcoming elections?

Yep, that's the correct answer. Melenchon insisted to again be the front runner so given his public image that's definitely out for LFI, and better parties such as the New Anticapitalist Party are sadly mostly irrelevant in terms of votes. Macron is likely gonna get reelected.

Or Darmanin. Since French media seem to have this tendency where they just vouch for the worst of the worst.

LFI with melenchon possibly, depending on how things go. Apart from LFI honestly all the other left parties are either dogshit or nowhere near a possibility of victory.

Hopefully the other leftist parties will understand the need have common front, PS ("socialist" party that betrayed the left) is dead, and hopefully people won't fall for the fucking radlib electoral trap that is the Green party, dear fucking god do not vote for the greens i'm begging you.

I don't give a shit about melenchon's public image, LFI is basically the only good party with a shot at winning. I really hate that people think somehow the large portion of people who voted for LFI last time have somehow disappeared when they were enthusiastic voters rather than "lesser evil" voters, and that LFI's voting base can't grow. Don't fucking give up the fight for fuck's sake, LFI absolutely has a shot at winning. And if not winning then at least organizing and radicalizing people because LFI's program is actually good.

We're still about a year away from the election, a lot can happen in that time.

Y'know these racist "religion+leftism" scares are quite similar to the ones they have at Krusty Burger in Nazi Gernamy

      warning: prescriptivism

colonel (it's a weird word and English is a fuck, here's the etymology blurb I copied because it's interesting)

from obsolete French coronel (earlier form of colonel), from Italian colonnello ‘column of soldiers’, from colonna ‘column’, from Latin columna. The form coronel, source of the modern pronunciation, was usual until the mid 17th century.

Macron government embracing neo-Nazi conspiracy theories? Looks like the libs got scratched.

Honestly insane how the libs' heel turn was so fucking fast and hard, Le Pen found herself completely fucking baffled she was left standing on the left. I really wonder just wtf is going through Le Pen's head right now, cackling glee or impending doom that she just got outflanked from the right by the fucking libs.
