Luckily I shut my main off before the hard freeze set in, so my pipes should be fine once we get above freezing, but there are tons of people across Texas who are already dealing with busted pipes.
That's good to hear. I've been seeing a lot of stories of people getting completely blindsided, especially where the water treatment is down. Pretty dire shit and for what? :agony-deep:
Yea saw afterwards you were from out of state originally, I actually just learned that from this whole ordeal so wanted to be on the safe side if any one else wasn’t aware. Stay safe and warm!
Very cool and normal country!

stay safe comrade
I've been doing okay aside from power issues. I was born in colorado so I'm more accustomed to cold weather challenges.

I will definitely say the water treatment plant going down was a shock to me too. This state is fucked lol
Have you turned your water heater off at the breaker bc water shut off at the main can damage your water heater

For sure, it's never a bad idea to put info out there.
When will it get above freezing where you are?
Friday during the day, but it get below freezing at night again.
Is there any hope of getting power back?
I have no idea, I've just accepted the fact that for the foreseeable future I will not have power.
Me as well
Too cool
