The bill would also indemnify a driver who "unintentionally causes injury or death" to a protester while the driver is "fleeing from a riot under a reasonable belief that fleeing is necessary to protect" the driver or passengers from "serious injury or death."
It also includes a
... provision that would specify intentionally blocking traffic as a felony.
"Sorry officer I turned down this street accidentally, and all of them had guns, I didn't know what to do!"
By the letter of the law its open and shut. These right wing chuds ALWAYS come EXTREMELY armed.
By reality of the law this will never not even once be used to punish anyone who drives into a chud crowd.
I live in a town on the Utah border and I'm learning to drive so I can't wait yay
Also the chuds in charge of Utah recently eliminated the need for a permit to conceal carry, so future protests there are going to be even extra spicier.
I actually agree with the elimination of the concealed carry permit. Now you dont need to pay money to do what every chud was going to do anyway.
It's wild that the total time from thinking of getting a gun, buying a gun from the trunk of some dude's car, and then conceal carrying legally without any paperwork would take about 30 minutes :brace-cowboy:
Me too. I grew up going with my grandpa and dad to the Salt Palace when they would hold those bi-monthly gun shows. I have not been to one since grandpa died but I see they are still holding them and I bet its just as fast and loose.
I wonder how they feel about shooting someone in self defense when they try to run you over
The article describes this very scenario that happened last summer in Boise, but because it was a BLM protestor shooting a driver that was threatening the protestors, they're throwing the book at him.
That one is easy. Whoever is the least white and the least aligned with the status quo goes to jail.
Utah going to be the cause of the next War in the Vendee, Mormons be wilding on that fascism.
Attacks on the right to protest will probably keep cropping up all over the country. Florida has a bill going through the legislature right now with the exact same clause on it, among other anti-protest measures.
Well, on the bright side, this means you'll also technically be allowed to run over cops as long as you're "fleeing from a riot."
Surely a sign of a healthy empire that's totally not in decline
Sorry sweaty, you're not allowed to protest like that. America delenda est.
