Its the first post Trump episode, which is good cause the Trump era was easily the least funny (and the bad takes stood out more than they did in the past, like when they had an incredibly transphobic episode in the same season where they basically apologized for their prior global warming takes and said amazon workers should unionize), but I just know its gonna have some cringe shit in it.

Like its gonna be our first real preview if funny comedians with dogshit political views who went really liberal during Trump can return to being funny, and my assumption is that they can't.

I totally missed the South Park train. Was maybe 4 when it first aired. Should I go back to anything in particular? Hearing about ManBearPig is fucking cringe

The movie is absolutely incredible and holds up completely. Only real dated part of it is treating Sadam like Hitler, but in the South Park universe everyone who's not mormon goes to hell so you can kinda ignore that. Orgazmo also holds up fairly well as a fun dumb late 90s/early 2000s comedy.

For the rest of the show, how much it holds up depends on how much you can ignore their often very uninfromed political views. They've got absurdist humor down very, very well but their takes are often pretty crappy and the language can be fairly dated.

There are some funny episodes. Most of the topical episodes are incredibly dated, but the most well-like episodes are timeless. Mainly about how ridiculous kids can be rather than political shit.
