I wish all the modified cars driving through my neighborhood that are as loud as jets taking off a very engine failure. Also, I hate that I can hear a highway from miles away. I don't mind train horns because train good.

Also isn't it funny that loud exhausts are basically illegal and police have the ability to stop and fine those people, but they won't because police don't give a shit about the people's wellbeing.

I'm pretty sure if you reported it, they would show up and spend a few hours giggling with the car people going `GUN IT'

Does anyone know if cops are running around with decibel meters in their cars? I'm not sure they'd be able to pull someone over and be like "you sound loud" and not measure dB to fine them

You don't need a dB meter if you can hear it from over 1000+ yards away and inside every room in your house. Some cities have regulations that if you can hear it from X feet away you are in violation. But it is probably rarely enforced. IIRC Seattle says like 80 feet.

I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding is that removing a muffler, or tampering with the original design of the muffler in order to make it louder is illegal. In a democratically run society, mod shops would be closed.
