I remember back when the coup in Bolivia happened, there was a highly upvoted post on the front page of completeanarchy that was celebrating the coup. It was posted by one of the mods, I think. Also one of the mods (or former mods, idk of they're still a mod) is a pedophile and literally the top mod of neoliberal lmao.
I had been somewhat disillusioned with the sub for a while at that point. Most of the posts were just pointless sectarian shit with a lot of galaxy brained takes like calling for unity with libertarian capitalists against state socialists :wut:
But seeing them celebrate the Bolivia coup was a big bale of straw that disintegrated the already dead camel's back.
I got banned long before that for defending Evo Morales. Apparantly lifting people out of poverty, or really maintaining any sort of economy, is fascist.

They have posted over a thousand daily 'devotions' to their favorite anime girl, if that gives you any idea what kind of weirdo this is.
Ya for the past 5 years or so they make a "daily devotion" post to some anime character. The posts are always lolicon art at various degrees of sexualization. Some images are fairly innocent but a great deal of them are explicitly sexual with characters that are very obviously children/meant to look like children.
I dont get why the hell people would do that. My weird kinks ain't even illegal, or even THAT weird(alright, a little weird), but I'm not gonna go just flashing them around like that.
And then there's people who bloody everyone can agree would be a danger to society if they acted on their kinks, just waving them around like a flag.

Both completeanarchy and fullcommunism are populated largely my the type of people who would be kindly asked to leave the meeting if they went outside to actually so organizing work.

I got autobanned from r/communism101 for having previously posted in Bernie subreddits. Who do they expect to radicalize into becoming communists if not people who were once succdems? Seriously boggles the mind.

i think i unsubbed from there once nearly every post was so weirdly anti-tankie. also had to unsub from r/anarchism because someone made a weird meme shirt about punching tankies AND nazis. like wtf?? i just sit there scratching my head like...would you become a scab to own the tankies if a tankie formed a union? that what it all seems like. im glad me and the other anarchists i know aren't like this.

Personally I lean “tankie” but my goal is socialism and if an anarchist movement broke out in America id be there alongside helping how I could.
At the end of the day no matter what it’s going to take organizing and enforcing our position, no matter what we call the institutions we set in place afterwards.

Eh. It's a reductionist explanation of anarchism. There's more depth to the idea of opposition to a formal state than simply "states r bad". Shame CompleteAnarchy doesn't let those discussions happen.
There was a time when CompleteAnarchy was moderated more in line with /r/Libertarian, which is to say they screened out the wreckers but otherwise just let people yap and stickied left-lib hot topics. I think it was about 2016 when they got mod-purged, and the new folks decided to make the sub a perpetual witch hunt for wrongthink. They implemented a bunch of annoying "banned if you say the word" rules, where virtually any derogatory turn of phrase was called "ableism". They did a bunch of performatively woke posts and went on a "We Hate Tankies" binge. Basically killed participation in the sub. And they just turned into a pintrest for RadLib nonsense.
On an unrelated note did Reddit changed their API? Subredditstats' sub user overlap and other similar tools no longer work.
Shame because it was really useful.
