I think the mods and admins did an excellent job in handling this. There were several details in the accuser's posts that set off red flags for me:
When asked to provide information that can be used to verify that the accuser knows Beatnik IRL, she only presented details that can be found in his account histories. I found the inclusion of the obscure details on his family crest to be especially suspicious, considering that this is a very specific and obscure detail about Beatnik that can be found in his account histories.
Not only did the accuser refuse to communicate privately with the admins when given multiple avenues to do so, the accuser went out of their way to post Beatnik's private information on the website, which is literally doxxing. Even if Beatnik were guilty, this is not okay. Doxxing someone is never okay.
The accusations that the admins/mods changed the accuser's password on her main account and snooped through her DMs really was the nail in the coffin for me. I find it so incredibly unlikely that anyone has the ability to do these things, except for perhaps one or two people on the dev team.
Considering all of this, it is very obvious that this was an attempt to attack the website, and Beatnik was chosen as a target because of his position as an admin and because of his poor opsec. It especially sucks that Beatnik was doxxed. Unfortunately, people who dislike the website will continue to bring this up until the end of time, accusing us of protecting an abuser and dismissing SA victims. Anyone who is looking at this rationally can see that there these accusations are completely unsubstantiated, and I agree that we should disregard them entirely moving forward (unless, of course, additional evidence were presented). I am sorry Beatnik has had to through this, and I really hope he can feel comfortable returning to the site.
I also want to comment that I am really impressed with how the admins, mods, Beatnik, and the entire community handled this. Although this situation still really sucks, the way it was handled has given me renewed hope in the future of this community. Additionally, I agree with other users that we need to be a lot more critical in the case of future allegations. Admins/mods/powerusers will absolutely be targeted again.

good comment but I think you might have meant "unsubstantiated"
Ah yes my bad, thanks for spotting that
Disagree. Doxxing actual abusers is good. This site should have not let the doxx be published until it was certain though.
