I love Barlowe's designs so much! This is what the aliens on Pandora could've looked like. Instead they went with six legged monkeys and horses. So much wasted potential in that movie. Sad!
Just read both wiki pages and now I have just one remaining question: How do they fuck? They travel in mated pairs so I assume it's sexual reproduction, but all the depictions have a phallus that looks very rigid and faces backwards. Don't tell me they penetrate their mouth-feet because those are lined with thousands of teeth
