No, they didn't. They truly don't give a fuck. This is like Ted Cruz calling out Wall Street over $GME. They're doing it to go tap into the "blue collar/populist" market and go viral, and you rubes are greasing the chains.

Right wing people look to criticize liberals, so they frequently make correct criticism at least on the surface level. They are correct here that liberals are hypocrites. However, their solution is "kids in cages is actually good" which is what I think you're getting at.

Yea, I think their main point in pointing out liberal hypocracy is "Democrats don't actually care about kids in cages so you don't need to either".

Stuff like this is what initially drew my privileged ass to the right because they could point at examples of corporations being "woke" as totally performative and not be wrong

Eh, idk. Reminds me of Homer's quote.

        "I understand. Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand."

I think they can make these points and have them be salient points while still doing so in bad faith and generally being disingenuous assholes. The point stands regardless of who makes it.

If I were a conspiracy theorist I would think that far right groups like PragerU purposely steal left wing talking points in order to further delegitimize them, because it makes liberals think we're extremist and further confuses the narrative that there are more viewpoints than just blue neolibs and red neolibs

This. Right wing populists have always appropriated left wing rhetoric and talking points and twisted them for their own ends, since they are trying to appeal to the working class and helping the working class is left's main objective. There's a reason why it was national socialists, not national liberals. The difference is of course that for the right it's just propaganda and PR, they don't plan on doing anything material.

Or it’s not leftist or rightist to point out hipocracy. Makes people feel smart and superior so everyone does it.

Yes! Like they’ve explicitly done this in the past. This has been a left wing meme and someone on their social media team just simply changed the meme type

I think they like Owning Liberals, and one classic means of Owning A Lib is to point at a liberal politician and say "They're playing you for fools!"

it makes liberals think we’re extremist and further confuses the narrative that there are more viewpoints than just blue neolibs and red neolibs

I think you're trying to get too deep on this and forgetting that conservatives stand for whatever liberals don't like, updated daily. They're going to say crazy shit because they're an organization run by terminally online internet trolls. And some of that shit is going to sound leftist, simply because they're throwing things at the wall to see what gets a rise out of people.

I thought it was the CSI: Miami meme, where the guy puts on his glasses and says something pithy, then it cuts to the intro music.

This is not an attack from the left, this is just bullshit. If you "attack from the left" someone over THE THING YOU LITERALLY SUPPORTED LIKE 2 MONTHS AGO then you're not attacking them from the left or from any position really, you're just bullshitting.

Ah but what if you support something that you literally criticized someone over 2 months ago.
