Deer, at least. Need a lot more doe tags though bc CWD and overpopulation. Also deer meat being donated to food banks is a thing, I know people who do, that's good. Also good bc it doesn't support factory farming.

    Don't kill animals. Also you aren't a morally superior carnist for hunting your meat, just more sustainable. Grocery store meat eaters at least have some degree of not seeing the process and are at least uncomfortable. Hunting is literally taking time out of your day to stalk and murder animals. I've seen the hunting excuse used as a justification to eat meat, to me that just means you have no issue carrying out pointless killing first hand and that's creepy

      Do hunt deer, because we killed their natural predators and if we didn't hunt them, it would be worse for the environment then not doing it.

      Factory farms are uh, bad. They're bad. The animals are really unhealthy.

      Have you thought about what a wild animal is? Do you know what happens to every one of them? CONTENT WARNING

      • Legs broken, nothing they can do, limp around and eventually starve to death in excruciating pain

      • Old age makes them too frail to forage, slowly get emaciated and starve to death or freeze

      • Asshole ripped out by dogs, dog head shoved up the hole, intestines pulled out the ass, slowly die with no ass, genitals, lower intestine, bladder

      • Some human with a rifle shoots them directly in the heart, they jump up in momentary pain and then lose blood pressure and black out.

      If animals get some or all of the moral consideration we give humans, then relying on natural predators to manage animals like deer sounds like "we need a federal ban on executions... instead let's torture literally everyone to death, not just the people on death row"

      "but its natural" is pretty meaningless
