    It's because they can't quite get beyond viewing themselves as consumers or the market as the be all end all solution. It's why every time reddit bruhs scream "vote with your wallet" when the next 'games as a service' or microtransaction disaster happens I point out that according to the data we have over 50% of all revenue by in game purchases comes from 0.15% of the total user base.

    Statistically speaking people who don't do in game purchases are a majority even though they are made to feel like a minority due to market forces. Step 1 to radicalizing gamers is to get them to understand that they have no real power or leverage within a purely market framework to change anything.
